The federal government has said testing for creosote by the city of Hattiesburg in a neighborhood near a closed plant was inadequate.

Metro Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for tips that will lead investigators with the Hattiesburg Police Department to the location and arrest of an unidentified suspect involved in the burglary of the Hattiesburg Public School District's Maintenance Department located in the 200 block of Dauphine Street.
